Getting to the Ferry
Bald Head Island is car-free, and visitors utilize golf carts, electric and traditional bicycles to explore and navigate the island. The first thing to know is that you'll immediately feel the calm - the lack of sirens, stoplights, honking horns, thumping radios. It's fresh-air bliss, and you are going to fall in love.
To get to BHI, you first have to drive to Deep Point Marina, located at 1301 Ferry Road, Southport, NC 28461.
The BHI Ferry is conveniently located next to the
Fort Fisher Ferry, so travel from Wilmington and Carolina Beach can be a two-boat adventure, or you can drive via highway in just under an hour.
The good news is, we know how to guide you, starting with making sure your Ebb & Flow ticket also includes a ferry ticket. All you have to do is show up, and we'll take care of the rest.
Whether you are Looking to stay overnight or explore as a day tripper, Ebb & Flow is pedestrian-friendly, day-trip friendly, and a fun intro to the island life you didn't know you were missing.

Isn't Bald Head Island Private?
No, that is a common misunderstanding! While BHI can be a difficult place to navigate as a newbie, it is not a private island! In fact, the island welcomes "Day Trippers" and first-timers. This event is a perfect first introduction to all the island has to offer.
Do I need to plan ferry times?
No, we will guide you based on your ticket type.
Can I come for just the day?
Yes! 1-Day Passes are available.
LOCALS - click here for LOCALS-ONLY Options.
Should I pack a lunch?
That one is up to you! We will have food vendors and some light snacks at the event and the VIP lounge will be stocked with plenty of beverages + food, but some guests who visit for the day may also enjoy packing a picnic. There are a few restaurants and a grocery store on the island, too.
Do I need to rent a golf cart for the day?
Not unless you want to. We have crafted the event to be pedestrian-friendly. Our main venue and most class sites are just across the marina from the ferry landing and are walkable. We will also have bike rentals available, and if you stay overnight on the island, your rental should have a cart too
